Signing In
We've built a powerful sign-in system that ensures the security of your site.
Creating an Account
WebCrimson Accounts are tied to your email address.
When you create your first account using WebCrimson, it will ask you for an email address and a password. Make sure to keep track of your password, as you'll need it to sign back into the account later.
Signing in with your Password
You will always need your password to sign in, unless you've checked off "Remember Me" in the signin box on the frontpage. A word of caution: this feature can be a real convenience, but be careful not to use it unless you are sure no one else can access your computer. If you share your computer with other people, it's probably best to just type in your password each time you use WebCrimson.
As with most websites, you'll need to have cookies activated in order to successfully sign in.
- If you forget your password, you can retrieve it here
- You can change your password in your Personal Settings
Editing Multiple Websites in WebCrimson at the same time
You can create multiple websites all tied to the same WebCrimson account.
Having multiple websites tied to one account yields a nice benefit: you can edit more than one website in WebCrimson at the same time.
For example, suppose you have one site that's a weblog and another one that's a webzine.
Just open one browser window to edit the weblog, and another one to edit the webzine. You can click back and forth between the two browser windows without any problems. WebCrimson will always remember which site is being edited in which window.
However, be careful: it's not possible to simultaneously edit two websites tied to different WebCrimson accounts. In that case, just sign onto WebCrimson using one of your accounts, and select the site that you'd like edit from the other email account. Then, "invite" that other email into that website.
Now, both websites will be tied to a single account, and you can edit them simultaneously in different browser windows!
Remembering which Website you are editing
WebCrimson will always remember the last website that you were editing.
The next time you log on to an account, WebCrimson will default you to the Start Page for that site - so you can start editing right away.
